Ultherapy
Non-surgical high-intensity ultrasound technology that boosts collagen production – this is especially beneficial for the face, neck, under eye area and under the chin and the results can be achieved in a single session and last for almost a year.
Exilis
Exilis is a non-invasive, advanced face and body contouring procedure that is highly effective in tightening of loose skin to reduce wrinkles and is also targets and reduce fat cells.
Probably one of the most advanced treatments to reduce wrinkles, this is targetting fat cells and lift sagging skin, Exilis Elite ™ shrinks loose tissue while stimulating the long-term production of collagen and elastin fibres to lift and tighten the skin. Making use of monopolar radiofrequency (RF) this system warm up tissue to therapeutic temperatures. Its built-in temperature sensors ensures the streaming of optimal heat without causing excess pain.
FAQ
Non-surgical ultrasound technology that improves the structure of the deep dermal or foundation layers of the skin, making your skin naturally supple, plump and glowing with long-lasting results – especially for the face and neck.
Dermal Fillers
Fillers containing Hyaluronic Acid (HA) which restores youthful volume to the cheeks, cheekbones, lips, chin and under eye area.
Dermal fillers are made from a product called hyaluronic acid, which naturally occurs in the body. Its key role is to absorb water and transports nutrients to the skin ensuring that the structure and volume is maintained. As we age we the production of HA in the body decreases as such the skin loses volume and elasticity. Dermal fillers help to re-volumise the skin by injecting HA back into various areas of the face.
Most reactions are generally minimal and temporary. You should expect some swelling and you may have some slight bruising however these reactions are expected to subside within a couple of days.
Prior to treatment we remove any make up and cleanse the area to be treated. We use a topical anaesthetic on the area which we will inject. The product is placed using a cannula which helps to keep swelling and bruising to a minimum. Discomfort during the treatment should be minimal. However, if you are sensitive we can use a local anaesthetic although in most cases this is not necessary.
treatment takes approximately 30 minutes.
Post treatment we advise against rubbing the area that has been treated and to avoid any beauty treatments such as facial massage, Sauna’s and extreme temperatures for up to 2 weeks after.
Pregnant women or breast feeding mothers
Patients with certain conditions affecting the connections between nerves and muscles (such as Myaesthenia Gravis and Eaton-Lambert Syndrome)
People with a previous allergic reaction to botulinum toxin, or with allergies to egg or human albumin
People taking aminoglycoside antibiotics (such as chlarithromycin, gentamicin etc.)
Anyone with a skin infection in the area to be treated
Caution should be exercised in any patients taking blood-thinning medication such as Warfarin, Rivaroxaban and Clopidogrel, simply due to the possibility of severe bruising
The sooner the better as an anti ageing preventative. However whilst there is no particular age limit, those with deeper wrinkles may benefit more from dermal fillers as opposed to this. A full consultation with Nina will help ascertain what the most suitable course of treatment is to meet your needs.
Botox
BOTOX® is a natural, purified protein that relaxes wrinkles causing muscle paralysis, creating a rejuvenated appearance. BOTOX® is a simple procedure that relaxes selected facial muscles to smoothen out lines and wrinkles on your face. No anti-ageing cream comes close to the skin smoothening effect of BOTOX®.
Hollywood Laser
Hollywood Spectra reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, smoothens skin texture and provides overall skin rejuvenation. The laser energy stimulates collagen production, which helps to plump up the skin and smooth out wrinkles.
Fractional Laser
The fractional laser also known as fractional laser resurfacing is an anti aging treatment. This consists of multiple laser sessions which take care of wrinkles, fine lines in the skin, age spots, uneven skin tone and other skin damages.
IV Infusions
A vitamin therapy that provides high concentrations of vitamins (based on parenteral micronutrient therapy science) directly into the bloodstream – for healthy glowing skin and to improve the overall
health and immunity. IV Infusions uses a high-dose of vitamin C to fight free radicals to treat anti-aging, heals the liver and works as an internal sunblock.
It can also be used for healthy hair, nails and skin, combining vitaminB and minerals.
A combination of vitamins and nutrients to treat acne and rosacea, to build keratin, a protein that keeps the skin firm, to maintain a lipid and ceramide barrier to retain moisture and prevent damage
caused by sunlight, pollution and toxins.
Skin Boosters
A fresh approach to skin rejuvenation, designed to deliver hydration and improvements to skin imperfections resulting in radiant healthy skin. Skinboosters are treatments which are clinically proven to offer improvements to skin health, gradually increasing elasticity, improving roughness and reducing the appearance of fine lines and other imperfections such as acne scars
Prohfilo
Profhilo is not a dermal filler and unlike Botox, it doesn’t freeze your muscles. It is a non-permanent, injectable anti-ageing treatment made from hyaluronic acid and designed to treat skin that’s losing its elasticity and firmness.
Thread Lift
It is a non-surgical face lift using thread treats the loose skin on your face, like the cheeks, jawline and neck, it is also used for shaping eyebrows.
Platelet Rich Plasma
An anti-aging facial that encourages collagen production and reduces wrinkles by using the patient’s blood. This contains growth factors that helps the skin repair itself wherever needed.
FAQ
Botox/Dysport
Most clients report little to no discomfort during the injection procedure, no more than a small pinch. We do offer topical numbing if you are anxious about the discomfort factor.
People receiving Dysport often see results in as little as 24 hours. Botox takes a little longer, between 24-72 hours to see first results. Full results can be observed at around fourteen days.
We request that all clients wait fourteen days after their Botox/Dysport treatment to come in for a follow up. Re-treatment before the 14 day mark may result in facial asymmetry, as full results cannot be properly observed before then.
Every face is different. A consult with our experienced doctor will allow us to accurately quote how many units you will need to achieve your desired result. There is no pressure to purchase anything at time of consultation.
Most clients go directly back to their day-to-day activities following treatment. We only advise that you refrain from any excessive physical activity the day of your treatment, and that you do not apply make-up over the injection points for 12 hours
Again, everybody is different. For most people, results begin to fade in three to four months.
FAQ
Ultherapy
Ultherapy is a safe, non-surgical ultrasound treatment that stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin, causing the skin to lift and tighten. The treatment is clinically proven, and has regulatory clearance, to treat the face, the jowls, the neck and the décolletage.
Ultherapy delivers focused ultrasound energy at up to three different depths of the skin, at the optimal temperature for collagen and elastin regeneration. The heat energy delivered causes tiny pockets of trauma to the tissues, which triggers the production of fresh, new collagen and elastin. Ultherapy doesn’t involve any creams, fillers or toxins, but instead relies on your body’s own wound healing processes for natural, noticeable results.
The structure and elasticity of the skin is maintained by two vital proteins, collagen and elastin. These proteins make up 25% of the body’s total protein count. Collagen is important in providing strength and stability, whereas elastin helps the elasticity of the skin, causing it to return to its original position when it is stretched or pinched. Unfortunately, our body’s natural production of these proteins slows down as we age, and this leads to signs of ageing (such as fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin). The new collagen and protein produced in response to Ultherapy treatment helps alleviate these signs.
Ultherapy uses two different ultrasound procedures. The first uses parallel lines of ultrasound, which is the same as the scanning equipment used in maternity units. These ultrasound emissions bounce back and allow the practitioner to “˜see’ through the skin tissues. In the case of Ultherapy this ensures that we can identify and target skin tissues in the right area, and at the correct depth (rather than blood vessels or bone). Once your practitioner is satisfied that they are targeting the correct area and depth, the Ultherapy machine then delivers another round of ultrasound waves, but these waves cross at very precise depths. This crossing of the ultrasound waves creates heat, and it is this heat energy that stimulates the growth of new, healthy collagen and elastin.
Lasers rely on light energy, which cannot reach deeper skin layers, and therefore typically only treat the skin’s surface layers. Radio frequency (“RF”) energy does penetrate a little deeper, but the heat generated within the skin is insufficient for maximum collagen and elastin stimulation. Ultherapy can target the same depths as lasers and RF, but can also target the deeper tissues, to the depths manipulated during facial cosmetic surgery. It is treatment to these depths that causes the lifting effect, in addition to the tightening of the upper levels of the skin.
Ultherapy has a number of cheaper imitators, but there are two significant and very important factors which differentiate Ultherapy from such machines. The first of these is the visualisation available to users of Ultherapy. As noted above, the Ultherapy device allows the user to see into the layers of the skin, thereby ensuring that the energy is delivered to exactly the correct area, and the correct depth. Without this visualisation, the energy is effectively being delivered “˜blind’, with the risk of energy being delivered to the wrong site. At best, this risks ineffective treatment, and at worse an adverse event. Visualisation also enables us to deliver a bespoke treatment, depending on the individual scan of a patient’s skin profile.
Ultherapy is also the only device of its type that has been cleared for use by the FDA, the US Food and Drink Administration. To receive this clearance it has been vigorously researched and tested, by an independent body focussed on patient safety
Yes, the Ultherapy device has been thoroughly tested and assessed in both the US and Europe. Furthermore, there have been in excess of one million procedures carried out world-wide, with no significant adverse effects reported.
Those who are not already patients are invited to attend a initial consultation to discuss their concerns and treatment options with Dr Chandni Jain Gupta.
If Ultherapy is a treatment option you are interested in, you would then be invited for a facial scan to enable visualisation of the deeper tissues in the area of concern. Dr Chandni will subsequently review your scan results and discuss the proposed treatment to ensure that the procedure will be appropriate, compatible with any concurrent treatments, and consistent with your overall treatment goals.
Ultherapy has been FDA approved for treating the upper face (including above the brows), the lower face/jowls, the neck, and the chest/décolletage.
There may be an immediate feeling/appearance of “˜lift’ after treatment, due to the initial contraction of collagen, but most of the lifting and toning will take place over 2-3 months, as your body produces new collagen and elastin. As this process continues, further improvement can become apparent up to 6 months following a procedure.
Patients treated with Ultherapy still have “˜new’ collagen and elastin a year after the procedure, and the results of treatment can last over a year in some patients. However, the skin does continue to age, so further treatment (eg, after 12-18 months) would be necessary for the effects to be maintained.
Ultherapy candidates would typically be in their thirties or above, with signs of mild to moderate skin laxity (where the skin begins to feel and look less firm). Examples would include a lowered eyebrow line, crows feet, sagging around the jawline/chin, loose skin on the neck, and wrinkles on the chest. It is suitable for all skin types/colours.
Although Ultherapy treats the deeper layers of tissue addressed in cosmetic surgery, to achieve a lifting effect, it will not duplicate the results of a full surgical facelift (which involves removal of excess skin). As such, Ultherapy may not be appropriate for patients with significant laxity of skin, or excess skin.
Patients are generally aware when each burst of ultrasound energy is delivered, with momentary discomfort. This indicates that the collagen/elastin-building process has been initiated. The level of discomfort associated with this varies significantly from patient to patient, but we generally recommend that patients take paracetamol and use the anaesthetic cream we provide prior to treatment.
The length of the treatment will depend on the area(s) being treated and your individual treatment plan. By way of example, a procedure to address the full face typically takes two hours, while treatment just to lift the brow can be completed in 30 minutes.
There may be slight redness for a few hours following the treatment. It is not uncommon to experience slight swelling, tingling or tenderness to touch for a few days. These side effects are typically mild and short-lived. You can resume your normal activities immediately, without having to follow any special post-treatment measures. Less frequently patients experience other short-term effects, such as mild bruising or slight “˜cat scratches’. Very rarely there is a report of small areas of numbness, which typically dissipates over the two weeks following treatment.
FAQ
HIFU( High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound)
HIFU Therapy is a safe, non-surgical ultrasound treatment that counteracts the effects of time and gravity on your skin. The treatment uses the body’s own regenerative response to gently and gradually lift skin on the eyebrow, under the chin and on the neck, and smooth lines and wrinkles on the décolletage.
HIFUTherapy treats the deep foundational layer addressed in cosmetic surgery, but won’t duplicate the results of a facelift. However it is a great alternative, especially for those not ready for surgery or for patients looking to extend the effects of cosmetic surgery.
HIFUTherapy uses sound energy, tried and true ultrasound, which has unique properties that allow it to bypass the surface of the skin to treat depths not matched by any other non-invasive cosmetic device. HIFUTherapy stimulates collagen production in the skin’s foundation, resulting in a clinically significant lift of tissue over the following 2-3 months. Lasers rely on light energy, which cannot reach deeper skin layers at an optimal temperature, so laser treatments typically only treat superficial skin. Since the two technologies often treat different types of skin issues, they’re actually very compatible.
During the treatment the transducer delivers and deposits focused ultrasound energy deep beneath the skin at the optimal temperature for collagen regeneration. The treatment jumpstarts a natural process, known as neocollagenesis, to produce fresh, new collagen. The treatment itself doesn’t involve any creams, fillers or toxins, it just relies on your body’s own collagen-building process for natural, noticeable results.
The length of the treatment will depend on the area being treated and your individual treatment plan. A face and neck procedure typically takes 60-90 minutes, while a chest treatment on its own takes approximately 30 minutes.
With a single HIFUTherapy treatment there is no downtime. After your procedure, you can resume your normal activities immediately, without having to follow any special post-treatment measures. We have even had clients come up to the clinic on their lunchbreak to have the treatment, no creams required and your general skin care plan and make-up can be applied as normal.
As the ultrasound energy is delivered, you will feel tiny amounts of energy being deposited to precise depths, indicating that the collagen-building process has been initiated. Comfort levels vary from person to person, but the sensation only lasts while the ultrasound energy is being delivered.
Most clients only need one treatment. However this may be based on the degree of skin laxity, the biological response to ultrasound energy and the individual’s collagen-building process, some clients may benefit from additional treatments. Because skin continues to age, future touch-up treatments can help clients keep pace with the body’s natural aging process.
A good HIFU candidate has mild to moderate skin laxity where the skin begins to feel and look less firm. Examples include a lowered eyebrow line, loose skin on the neck, sagging under the chin, and lines or wrinkles on the chest. Of course, the best way to find out if you’re a suitable candidate is to consult with a practitioner.
The cost of an HIFU treatment can range widely depending upon the size of the area being treated.
The HIFU procedure has been used safely in over 250,000 treatments worldwide. Ultrasound energy itself has been used safely in the medical field for more than 50 years.
The skin might appear flushed at first, this can be during treatment but sometimes lasting longer, the redness should however disappear within a few hours. Some clients experience slight swelling, tingling or tenderness to the touch, but these are temporary in nature. Other, less common post-procedural effects may include temporary bruising or numbness on small areas of skin. As with any cosmetic procedure, there is the possibility of other rare effects, which your practitioner will review with you.
After your HIFU Treatment, you may see some initial effect, but the ultimate results will take place over 2-3 months, as your body naturally regenerates collagen. Since the procedure stimulates your own collagen production, how long the results last really depends on you. The treatment produces new collagen on the inside, but your natural aging process will dictate how long that translates into visible results on the outside.
